Kantha Creations is a new venture with the purpose of specializing traditional Kantha embroidery from Bengal. Kantha Creations was incorporated in 2005 with an idea to embroider new expressions for a multitude of other traditional Indian design and art forms with the simple running stitch - Kantha. This tradition of stitching was handed down through generations by women in Bengal and never became a commercial craft. Only in the past few of each decades has Kantha embroidery seen some commercial light. We also wish to further revive this traditional art and also provide a platform for the kantha artist to showcase their creativity and talent in new expressions.
